WH&R Achieves Record Growth in AP in 2023
World’s largest hotel franchisor debutednine brandsin eight new marketsacross Asia Pacific, signed 222 hotels, opened 158 new hotels, and registered 7.4% Y-O-Y net room growth, equivalent to 14,200+ rooms.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts,the world’s largest hotel franchising company with 24 brands and approximately 9,200 hotels, continues to make impressive gains across Asia Pacific, unveiling today full-year results for the region for 2023. Among the highlights: the Company introduced nine new brands, signed 222 hotels, opened 158new hotels, and registered 7.4% Y-O-Y net room growth, equivalent to 14,200+ rooms.
Anchored by its OwnerFirstTM approach to franchising, the growth underscores Wyndham’s strong reputation throughout the region and its long-term commitment to helping deliver success for owners and franchisees—a sentiment that was further emphasized this month by a visit to the region from Geoff Ballotti,President, and CEO.
During 4- 7 March 2024, Ballotti visited the Asia Pacific region and participated in 27 signing ceremonies for new hotels - including properties in Greater China, Thailand, Cambodia, among others - while also meeting with more than 30 owners across the region. Wyndham currently has almost 1,800 opened hotels across Asia Pacific.

o Hawthorn by Wyndham Dali Erhai Par k (China)
Located in Yunnan province, this 163-room hotel marks the arrival of the Hawthorn brand in both China and Asia Pacific. Situated in downtown Dali, guests can experience the charming markets of Dali Ancient City, cycle around traditional Bai villages at Erhai Lake or soak in picturesque views on a cable car ride to the top of Cangshan Mountain.
o Wyndham Grand Busa n ljin (South Korea)
Offering stunning ocean views of Songdo Beach, this 271-room hotel marks the arrival of the Wyndham Grand brand in South Korea. Located in South Korea’s second-largest city, guests can relax in the tranquility of Songdo Beach, take a ride on the Songdo Cable Car, or visit Jagalchi Market, South Korea's largest seafood hub.
o TRYP by Wyndham Wellington , Tory Street (New Zealand)
Set in the heart of Wellington’s business district, this 77-room hotel marks the arrival of the TRYP by Wyndham brand to New Zealand. Sitting just a stone’s throw from diverse shops, restaurants, bars and attractions, guests can go for a ride on the Wellington Cable Car, explore the beauty of the Wellington Botanic Garden or take in a bit of history and culture at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.

o Wyndham Grand Phu Quo c (Vietnam)
Located on the beautiful shores of Bai Dai beach, this 5-star, 1,399-room resort has the distinction of being the largest Wyndham Grand hotel in the world. o Peninsula Excelsior Singapore, a Wyndham Hotel (Singapore)
Situated in Singapore’s bustling city center, this 591-room hotel is the newest flagship of the Wyndham brand in Asia Pacific. Conveniently located just 20 kilometers from Singapore Changi International Airport, the hotel puts guests in the heart of the Civic District, offering easy access to the city’s most popular attractions, including Gardens by the Bay, Merlion Park and Suntec City. This property will be renamed Wyndham Singapore, following a multi-million-dollar refurbishment program and its official opening in 2024.
